Hyundai exceeded the level of production of electric vehicles over other types of drives

Hyundai is the first traditional automaker to have a larger share of the electric vehicle market than conventional vehicles. The inversion occurred after the pandemic period, when purchases of electric vehicles increased significantly as a share of total car sales.

The Korean Hyundai-Kia group accounted for 8.9% of the global market for cars with internal combustion engines in the first quarter of the year. Over the same period, the largest Korean automaker accounted for 9.9% of the global electric vehicle market. In principle, Hyundai-Kia has become more competitive as a manufacturer of electric vehicles than it is as a manufacturer of heat-powered cars.
According to Business Korea, Hyundai and Kia sold 28,796 electric vehicles in the first quarter, accounting for 9.9% of the total number of electric vehicles sold worldwide, which was 290,436 units. Sales of electric vehicles were less affected by the pandemic than heat engine models, which also had increasingly severe environmental conditions.

The electric car market has grown 4.3 times since 2016 so far. In the same range, Hyundai-Kia increased sales of electric vehicles by 20 times. This promotion has led to the Korean group moving from the 15th position in the ranking of electric car manufacturers in 2016 to the fourth place currently. Worldwide, more electric cars than Hyundai-Kia are sold only by Tesla, Renault-Nissan Alliance and Volkswagen Group.http://fiatforum.lv/http://fiatforum.lv/
